Blog#3: Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.(Sumire)

Today, let me introduce the one of the most famous museum in Tokyo. This is Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Ueno. It's known as Ueno Art Museum. And it is also known as one of the biggest museums in Japan. I had never go to museum until I went to Ueno museum so this is my first museum in my life.


This museum has many exhibited floors so we can enjoy variety of arts. In addition, there are a cafeteria and a restaurant so after enjoying many works we can take a rest with hot coffee and talk with your partner about that arts. I think there is a mechanism to enjoy the art deeply. And due to its big exhibition halls there are many kinds of  exhibitions in Ueno Art musium for example the exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci will has been held by June 30th. So we will not get tired to go this museum in all seasons. And when we go Ueno, we can enjoy both the art museum and Ueno zoo. So not only Japanese people but also the visitors coming from abroad can enjoy sight seeing of Japan.
Well I love Da Vinci so I want to try to go the Ueno art museum while this month. If you like the art, I want you recommend strongly this. Let's go with me! lol

    Hi, this is Ms. MacGregor. I don't often go to Ueno so I rarely visit the museums in this area. I tend to choose the museum I go to depending on the exhibition showing. I sometimes go to Tokyo Mingeikan, a small museum near Tokyo University at Komaba todai mae station (on the Inokashira line). The building and the exhibitions are beautiful. I recommend it!

    Thank you for your great comment! Oh, really? I thought you have been to this museum so many time because you love museums! I know Tokyo Mingeikan. You mean the Japan Folk Crafts Museum, right? That museum looks like traditional Japanese house maybe. I love thet appearance and it makes me confortable. I've been meaning to go so I will try to visit in this month!

    Hi, I am Tomoki. I have went to Ueno only once, and to see pandas. But I want to go to Ueno Art Museum, because I haven't seen Da Vinci's picture directly. I will go there while this month.

    I'm Takehiko. I have been to this museum about twice. But I don't know Da Vinci exhibited! I wanted to go there... Ueno Park is good place. Many natures are looks nice and quiet. I like to walk through into Ueno Park. I like see many animals in Ueno zoo too. This place is near the art college, see many funny people. I like it.
