Blog#1: Enjoy New Music! (Thao Nguyen)

     Hello everyone. I'm Thao Nguyen.

     Today I want to introduce you my favorite Pop-Rock band, Maroon 5 ^^ !

     Maroon 5 is an American band from Los Angeles, California. The band originally formed in 1994, first named Kara's Flower with 4 members: Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. They once parted in around 1997.
In 2001, Maroon 5 regrouped and added James Valentine to the lineup, and then, changed their style of music with another name: Maroon 5! 
Maroon 5 recorded their first album in 2002 and released it in June 2002. The album soon became very popular all around the world with many famous hits like: This Love, She will be loved, Harder to breath. The hits helped the band won the Grammy Award for BEST NEW ARTIST in 2005.
    Moreover, their second album was even excellent. The album's first album, "Make Me Wonder", became the band's first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100.

    Oh, Yes! Maroon5! I know Maroon5 is one of the most wonderful artist group! Especially, I love their music "Pay Phone". Recently I bought it in iTunes!

    Have they ever come to Japan? I don't know.

    Maroon5 is cool band! I like their song 'Misery'.

    I don't have enough knowledge of Maroon5. So please lend me their CDs!

    Hi, this is Ms. MacGregor. Oh yeah, I know this song! And I know this band but I didn't know their name until now - thanks! I listen to the radio from Canada on the internet every day and they sometimes play it. In the morning in Canada (Tokyo's night from 6-9pm), the radio station called CBC plays a lot of popular music including this song by Maroon 5. If you want, you can check it out here: http://music.cbc.ca
    The program I listen to is Radio 2 morning. Go the HP above and then choose "eastern time" on the scroll bar on the right under "Radio 2." Please tell me another of your musical favourites.
