Blog#2: Rock Climbing ( Thao Nguyen)

Lately, I have been rock climbing with my club members. Indoor rock climbing is a very challenging sport. It requires a lot of techniques to reduce slipping rate, as well as many other equipments, like ropes, to keep you safer when you fall down. Another type of rock climbing is bouldering. With bouldering, you don't need to use any rope. On a rock climbing practice wall, there are a lot of peaces with many different colors. One of those colors signifies some level. For example, if I want to try the most basic level and the yellow are for the level, I must choose just the yellow pieces to hold on. For ones who want to try this exciting sport, now I will introduce you three golden rules to climb. Rule number one is: Keep your arms straight when you catch a hold. Rule number two: Locate your center of gravity. It is best to lean you body to the wall. Third: Mind you feet. I believe that it is hard to imagine how to do such the things, but it might be easier to understand if you watch other people climb here.
Let me show you their introduction video:

  1. This is Ms. MacGregor. YOu have to rewrite your blog - you must not copy from wiki or any website. Write your own sentences. Fix it at once!
Besides, your blog is too short.

    3. Hi Thao, This is Ms. MacGregor. Thanks for fixing up your blog - it is really excellent and informative. Where do you do rock climbing? Why did you get interested in this sport? To tell the truth, it looks a little scary to me. However, it is good for developing your body strength, your ability to concentrate, and to get rid of stress. Good luck and be careful!

    4. Hi!Thanks for your comment. Well, I'm joining Alpine Club in Gakushuin University. Mostly, we do mountaineering, but sometimes rock climbing skills are required to climb to the summits of high mountains. Therefore, we have to keep practicing indoor. In my opinion, rock climbing indoor is scarier than doing it in real. Professors designs the walls to make it useful for practice. I think it is more challenging and difficult.

    1. Hi Tomoki. I'm glad to hear that you like it but it's hard for me to tell you what you should do. Anyway, don't need to worry because there are many professional climbers who are working at the climbing gyms and they can teach you. Have fun!
